I believe we are all just the stories we tell ourselves. This framework suggests that the way we perceive and narrate our experiences shapes our reality. In other words, you and I may have the same exact experience of something, and you may hear, notice, and even value things I had not. By acknowledging the subjectivity of our stories, we can become more open to diverse perspectives and appreciate the richness of human experiences. This awareness can contribute to empathy, understanding, and effective communication with others.
If we are made up of our stories and our stories are extremely subjective, how do we make good sense of the world around us? You have all the answers inside you. As a holistic and integrative therapist and coach, I will guide you toward a balanced understanding of how your past directly affects your present and we will set goals for the future. You can find a regenerative and centered place of peace. The shift from feeling insidiously stressed, resentful, and generally chaotic to balanced, grounded, and joyful is attainable if you commit to the work. Real and lasting change occurs in tiny increments. Small daily practices can positively shift your relationship with others and more importantly, with yourself.
